Called ‘Why Do’ the campaign is all about bridging the generation gap and encouraging adults and young people to work together!
Have you ever wondered why young people walk with their pants below their waist, or listen to their music through the speakers on their phones or you just want to know why they are “disrespectful” then WHYDO.CO.UK is for you!
It all comes from my personal experience working with adults and young people for the last 7 years in schools, colleges, youth clubs. I noticed that there was a lack of understanding between adults and young people. So I started working more closely with both sides of the gap...sewing it together, if you may, in my local area.
The fact that it became a passion, took me all the way to the House of Lords last year.
I am also sitting on the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) Youth panel, advising the Diversity Board on how to make the London2012 games a legacy for young people.
I pitched this idea to O2 Think Big way back in February and we have been developing it since. The campaign is backed by celebrities Tulisa from NDubz and Screen Legend Larry Lamb.
O2 Think Big is an initiative which helps young people turn their ideas into a reality. Young people between the ages of 13 - 25 can apply at www.o2thinkbig.co.uk

Thanks for the great info. I find these posts have a lot of info. I can’t wait to get a second to implement all these great thoughts. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteHi James,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind words. The blog is designed to ensure that adults better understand why young people do what they do and help them formulate passages in which they can interact with young people via suggested solutions.
