About The Man

Hi, I'm Sabian Muhammad I'm an award-winning,  home taught youth advocate, trained public speaker and social media consultant and communications specialist.

I am also the creator of the national O2 campaign “Why Do?” which is an online service encouraging adults to ask young people questions about why they do what they do in society, with the long-term aim of bridging the generation gap.

I have worked with young people and adults for the last 7 years in a variety of roles. Starting with local work in a youth club and progressing to work in schools and colleges, he has gone from strength to strength, working with both adults and young people to find solutions to the problems in society.

My main focus as a communications specialist is the relationship between:
  • Adult and child
  • Teacher and Parent
  • School and Child
  • Teacher and Child
  • Child and Social Media
  • Adults and Social Media
  • Education and Social development
  • Business and Social Media
  • Social Media Privacy Issues
  • Internet Privacy Issues

I undertake research on any one of these topics and provide workshops and consultations accordingly. There is really no boundary to what I work on as communication as the fabric that binds us all in some way or another, my skill is being able to observe, examine, analyse and correct (via advice, workshops, lectures) the issues that arise from these observations.

I made history last year speaking in the House of Lords in the Shine Week debate discussing education in the UK.

I have worked with various organisations, such as National Council For Voluntary Youth Services, MediaTrust, Edexcel, Unicef, Ofqual, AQA, Child Workforce Development Council and many others.

I currently sit on the youth panel for London2012 Olympic Games, advising the Diversity Board on how they can make the Olympic Games a legacy for young people.

Along the way, I have worked with and met various celebrities and influential people such as, Tim Campbell, Larry Lamb, Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone, Sarah Brown, Tulisa Constostavlos, Alistair Darling, the Children’s Commissioner and more.

I research and develop methods by which I can help adults and young people put their problems into context and find solutions to them. I am currently writing a book on the back of my national campaign called “WhyDo for Parents” which is designed to highlight certain issues parents face with their children and provide possible solutions to those issues.

I recently received the Future100 ‘Young Social Entrepeneur’ award for his work on the ‘Why Do’ campaign.

I am currently developing ideas for further projects and business.
